Parents want to give their children an advantage, and that's natural. But we simply don't know what the job market will look like when today's children reach it. Instead of trying to guess which profession will be in demand in 15 years, we need to ask which abilities will allow a child to succeed even as professions and technologies change.
We can't give children an accurate map of the world of 2040, because we don't have such a map. But we can give them a compass: curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, the ability to learn and change — along with an understanding of how these look in a world of artificial intelligence. Those are the tools that will allow them to deal with professions that don't exist yet.
No one can reliably predict which professions will lead the job market a decade from now. We therefore focus on durable abilities — curiosity, judgment and independent learning — and bring the same principle to our AI training for teams.
