Real or AI? "When everything is fake, politicians will deny real facts too"

The campaign has not officially opened, yet the web is already flooded with AI clips. Dr. Tehilla Shwartz Altshuler warns of "a new form of propaganda," and Chen Bareket: "the danger is the collapse of our shared reality."

Selected excerpts from the interview.

The deep danger of artificial intelligence is the destruction of our shared reality. When everything can be fake, politicians can deny everything — even real facts — and the public retreats and clings only to what fits its political tribe. On this shaky ground, it is easy to stage an 'election hijack' 24 hours before the polls open. By the time we prove it's a deepfake, the public has already voted — and election results cannot be undone retroactively.
